Welcome to the Adelaide Hills Soccer Club Website

The Adelaide Hills Soccer Club men’s teams will play in the Premier League of the Football Federation of South Australia in 2010.   Formed in 1991 by the Adelaide Hills Junior Soccer Association the club fielded one team in the U/16 age group. In 1995 the club entered teams in the U/19 and U/23 competitions and in 1998 entered a senior team into the South Australian Soccer Federation (SASF) State League finishing in the top half of the table.

In 2004 the club won promotion to the top league(then called the Premier League) and whilst it performed well, its age and inexperience meant the club was relegated at the end of the season. The experience was a valuable one with a number of younger ‘hawks’ remaining at the club and proceeding to play in the following season for the first team. In 2008 the Hawks won the Premier League and also the end of season final 5 Challenge Cup at Hindmarsh Stadium and subsequently was promoted to the Super League for the 2009 season. Despite the determination of the players, regrettably the senior team was relegated by a single goal in 2009 and is now re-building for competition  in the Premier League in 2010.

The Adelaide Hills Soccer Club is entering two women teams  in 2010 , following on from the success of its only women’s team in 2009 which  gained promotion from Division 4.  The club is also entering two girls teams at Under 13 and Under 15. The Under 15 team spent the last season undefeated, winning both the league and the cup final at Hindmarsh Stadium.

Junior boys soccer is also thriving at the Hawks with 7 teams entering the Junior Premier League competitions  this year.

As President, I wish all our teams an enjoyable and  prosperous season and send  our  best wishes to the wider football fraternity in South Australia for a successful  2010.
